2018 SPRING DIY & DECOR CHALLENGE | HOME DECOR

Spread the love

With spring looming around the corner, we can hopefully start to hear the birds chirping and the flowers blooming, but sadly this is not the case in Nova Scotia. While we are very fortunate not to have mountains of snow, the air is still pretty cool and crisp and we will not be seeing flowers in our near future. So I decided why not bring in some beautiful spring flowers into the home and embrace spring within my home.

Every season Christina from The DIY Mommy hosts a challenge on her YouTube channel for a DIY & Decor  and I enjoy participating when I can. This year I decided to create a beautiful floral centerpiece and I couldn’t be more happy with the final result.

Materials

  • Faux Flowers of your choice
  • scissors or wire cutters
  • floral foam
  • a wooden box of your choice
  • accent pieces (I used easter eggs)

The directions for this is pretty simple, so I will not go into too much detail.

Start by first cutting your foam to fit the box or basket that you picked.

Next you will cut off all the flowers off the stem with your scissors or wire cutters.

Finally, arrange your flowers to your liking.

Then you are done. After I finished I thought that I could add some moss to the top of the foam, which I think would really finish it off. Overall I am thrilled with how fresh and bright the flowers look on my piano.

Thank you so much for stopping by and please check out my YouTube video on how I put  it all together.
