WEEK 5? Already? So many things are rushing through my mind, I still feel like I have so much left to do and actually I really do have a lot left, but let’s forget about what is left to do and focus on what I have accomplished. If you are unfamiliar with the One Room Challenge it is a challenge hosted by Linda at Calling it Home. Twice a year, October and April, she invites 20 fabulous bloggers to transform one room in their home in a 6 week time period. She also invites all bloggers to be “guest participants” and do the same. I am so happy to be a guest participant this year and can see many, many more years of this in my future.

So to recap what I did this week, really to be honest wasn’t a lot. I bought the supplies for my headboard and found the perfect head board to re purpose for FREE! Yes, you read that correct, someone was getting rid of it and I said it would be perfect.

We are planning on upholstering it and that will be in a whole other post of its own, so stay tuned for that one.

Then I finished off my bedside table transformation. I can not wait to share how I did the transformation but until then I will show you a little sneak peek of them.

I am so happy with how the room is coming together, the new curtains are hung and I can’t wait to show you what color I decided on, but you will have to wait until the reveal on week six.

I wish I could show more pictures of the room but honestly we seem to be living among the mess of decorating. It has to get worse before it gets better, right? (Please say yes) 

It is so nice to have everything but the headboard crossed off my list but I still have a lot to accomplish and I still have to photograph the room. So I hope you continue to follow along on my first attempt at the One Room Challenge. I hope I can pull this off 🙂
